On April 13, global market research agency Omdia released the latest global display market report, that in 2021, BOE ranked first with 62.28 million shipments of LCD TV panel in the world, leading the world for four consecutive years already. In terms of shipment area, it also ranks first in the TV panel market with 42.43 million square meters of real achievements. In addition, BOE’s shipments of mainstream liquid crystal displays such as smartphones, tablets, notebooks, monitors and innovative displays over 8 inches in vehicles are the world’s no. 1.
Since 2021, global geopolitical conflicts have become prominent, and the global consumer market is under pressure due to factors such as the sharp rise in energy and food prices, and enterprises are facing certain challenges. Xie Qinyi, senior research director of Omdia’s display division, says BOE continues to perform well in the global display market. BOE has ranked first in the world since the second quarter of 2018 as the TV display with the largest demand for semiconductor display capacity area. According to Omdia’s latest shipment report, BOE’s TV panel shipments reached 5.41 million units in February 2022, continuing to remain the world’s no. 1 with a 24.8% share.

In terms of high-end Mini LED products, BOE joined hands with Skyworth to launch the world’s first active glass-based Mini LED TV, achieving a brand new leap in picture quality of Mini LED TV, and continue to release the P0.9 glass based Mini LED, 75 inch and 86 inch 8K Mini LED and other high-end display products. In terms of large-size OLED, BOE has launched leading products such as China’s first 55-inch printed 4K OLED and the world’s first 55-inch 8K printed OLED. In addition, BOE has laid out the large-size OLED technology platform in Hefei, continued to research and develop high-end large-size OLED products, constantly leading the trend of technological development in the industry.
